This year we increased out commitment to our friends at Fazenda Sao Boa de Vista by purchasing a lot of their red bourbon. Red bourbon is a coffee varietal that (according to the World Coffee Research Organization) was first bought to Yemen by French missionaries in the early 1700's. The plant was first introduced to Brazil in the mid-1800's once again brought by missionaries.
We are very happy to continue our partnership with our friends at Fazenda Sao Bao de Vista and hope to bring new, interesting and exceptional coffee from them for a long, long time.
*Our preferred brewing method for this coffee is Chemex with a 1:12.5 coffee to water ratio
