Ever wonder why coffee was called Java? Well, it was because the Dutch brought coffee from the Arabian Peninsula in the early 1600's. The early success of coffee from the island of Java is the genesis of the coffee's most famous nickname, Java. The particular specimen is processed using the anaerobic method which is incredibly fruity with notes of cinnamon and chocolate.
This coffee is the continuation of a legacy over 400 years in the making. In many ways, Java is the birthplace of the coffee commodity trade. Enjoy!
*Our preferred brewing method for this coffee is Chemex with a 1:12.5 coffee to water ratio
